Paducah, February 2010

Feb 11 - Hand Applique using Magic Vine book - make a flower or two for
spring from the book and learn the Eleanor Burns quick turn technique.
Supplies needed: Scissors, thread, hand sewing needles, pins, bodkin, wooden iron and thimble
and thread to match

Feb 26 - Grommet Purse - really cool fun purse to make with 2 1/2 strips.
Use jelly rolls for more choices and have plenty left over to add birthday
gifts and have fun to boot.
Supplies needed: 1 yard of fabric for lining and interior pockets and purse base.
5/8 yard fusible fleece interfacing, 2 yards 16/32" cotton filler cording, 8
small drapery grommets, pins, scissors, rotary cutter, thread to match

March 9 - Pillow case Day!
This pillow case has no raw edges, you can even make them into a gift bag.
Make your reservation to make a new pillow case to add to your collection.
What a fun way to start spring with a colorful pillow case!
Supplies needed: 3/4 yard for pillow case body, 1/2 yard for hem section, 20-24 4" square for
the prairie points if chosen, thread to match, trim if desired.

March 25 - Tossed Nine Patch - How much more fun can do you need? This fun
class has your name written all over it if you are a beginner or not, quick,
easy and sew much fun you will have to make two. You can't help but think of
Elvis as you twist each block into place.
Supplies: Eleanor Burns Tossed Nine Patch pattern, fabric (fat quarters are
great) one light fabric for corner square, rotary cutter, pins, thread and a
happy heart.

Make your prepaid reservations before class so we can count you in. Hurry
they are filling fast. Come early too and choose your fabrics the week
before the class to save class time. 10:30 - 3:00 with lunch that you bring.

Classes are taught by certified Quilt in a Day instructors. To pre-register

BSS: Basic Sewing Supplies, scissors, rotary cutters, straight pins and safety pins, glow tape, stiletto, wooden iron, thread, needles for hand sewing or basting. Please mark your supplies distinctively to not get mixed up with others. Mats and irons will be provided by QIAD

Please pre purchase your fabrics for your chosen class at Quilt in a Day at least the day before scheduled class as you will not have time to purchase the day the class starts.
